Universal Dorcas Ministry (UDM) has supported Christians in Kuka Uku, a farming community in Gombe state, Nigeria to build a new church auditorium.

President of UDM, Ms. Helen Bako said the gesture was to assist the church own a solid structure that can withstand harsh weather conditions.

Helen was approached in 2019 by minister of the church, Pastor Patrick Dantala, with a need, emphasizing that the Church auditorium was destroyed several times by strong wind.

“With the help of a young pastor who was very passionate for this community and with help from a few friends who donated their widow’s mite, a new church was built. Praise God,” Helen said.

UDM donated finances that assisted the church in procuring materials used in the building including cement, bricks, and roofing sheets among other things.

The church also used part of the money to pay the hired workers who built the church.

Pastor Dantala said the new church auditorium project was completed in 2022.

According to him, the generous contribution from UDM assisted members and the church board in directing their finances to other area of ministry needs, expressing optimism that the building will not come down again.
